Landing Page Design
I hope no one is silly enough to send traffic to an actual website right? I mean who would send traffic to a page with a million buttons for visitors to click on right? OK now that we all agree that it is suicide to consider sending traffic to your actual website, we will talk about landing pages.
First of all a great landing page needs simplicity. You do not want to distract the visitor with things that do not meet your objective, which is to sell something. Mc Donalds to my knowlege has never tried to place the entire menu in a single commercial and neither should you. Just focus on one thing and make sure that that traffic vector is relevant and you will do fine.
Verify Your Email
This has got to be one of the silliest things I have ever seen on a form and is a sales killer. Think about it just the words alone "enter your email address" "now verify your email address" indicate you either are calling your potential customer stupid or less than honest. Perhaps a less offensive approach might be in order. I for one prefer real time ajax form validation for that reason.
Looking Good is Key
The look and feel of your landing page has to say quality. And let's not forget honesty playing a huge role in how well you convert with it. A great layout will always win over your audience and attention to detail is crucial. I myself have designed some of the best converting landing page systems in the world and I can spend up to a month making them perfect.
